Orange County’s QAnon Congresswoman

Feb 05, 2021

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Yesterday, Michelle Steel voted against removing Marjorie Taylor Greene from sharing her dais, failing to hold Greene accountable for inciting a deadly insurrection at the Capitol, supporting the execution of prominent Democrats, boosting radical anti-semitic conspiracy theories, and harassing school shooting survivors.

Former Congressman Harley Rouda released the following statement reacting to his successor’s cowardice:

“To no surprise, Michelle Steel sided with the insurrectionists, again. Steel has a history of uniting conspiracy theorists, white supremacists, and domestic terrorists during her lifetime in politics. So her support of Marjorie Taylor Greene is no shock; birds of a feather flock together.

Michelle Steel swore an oath to the Constitution of the United States against enemies foreign and domestic; at her second opportunity to put the people of Orange County over her own self-interest, she again failed and sided with domestic terrorists. The 48th District deserves better.”

Rouda’s Campaign Manager Alyssa Napuri also released the following statement:

“After enabling anti-maskers, boosting Q-Anon conspiracy theories, and cozying up to the fringe right while pretending to be moderate, Michelle Steel unsurprisingly chose her own political self-interest over her oath to the Constitution by voting with insurrectionists. Michelle Steel joins the ranks of Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert as a Q-Anon Congresswoman.”
